The Hip-Hop Professional would like you to meet Jibri Bailey (FAMU):

Q: What’s your major/area of interest and what school do you attend?
A: Public Relations with an interest in music industry at Florida A&M University.

Q: What are some of your current projects or activities that you are engaged in on campus? Also, have you completed any beneficial internships/summer programs?
A: I’m currently in the works of creating a Black History event that will be geared towards entrepreneurship and black history. I’m also working on a Hip-Hop Cypher that will take place on campus in the Spring. I have had some great internships. I’ve had the opportunity to intern with The Hangout Music Fest(Blink TV), Black and Sexy TV, Queen Up (a female youth empowerment program) and the Big Bend Community Development Corporation.
Q: How hard is it being a student and balancing the work you do towards your career goal?
A: It can be a tough at times but I try to remember a few things while obtaining my goals. These things are humility, grit, patience and will power! I know that I will be able to reach my career goal by practicing these things and keeping them in mind daily!

Q:What are your top social media platforms that you use and why?
A: My top social media platforms would have to be Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram! They allow me to be as creative as I want to be. They are very easy to use when it comes to campaigns, publicity, marketing and branding!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: In the next 5 years I see myself graduating from FAMU, working in the music/entertainment industry as either a promotions manager, creative director or doing branding/marketing for a major record label.
